    With 25 years in public education, servicing as a classroom teacher and specialist as well as a professional development instructor, consultant, cooperating teacher with universities and curriculum designer, Jessica was a pioneer in creative and mindful education in the fine arts classrooms, starting in 2004.

    Jessica is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (NE), registered psychotherapist and holds credentials in clinical trauma treatment, advanced grief counseling, integrated therapies and functional medicine for mental health.

    In 2004, Jessica was teaching in Castle Rock, Colorado and had just finished work at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA where she was introduced to integrated expressive arts. This process included movement and breathwork with artmaking. She took her trauma education, rooted in the work of Dr. Bruce Perry, M.D. after the Columbine Massacre and incorporated breathwork practices with this process in elementary art classrooms in her district. She then moved to expanding it with special needs students and as the years went on, and her continuing education, the practice evolved and was implemented in schools in Kansas as well. She was instrumental in teaching K-12 specials teachers on how to integrate Trauma Informed SEL into the specials classrooms and presented workshops to both educational associations, districts and with mental health organizations in the KC Metro Area.

  • Registered Advanced Yoga Teacher & Creator of Accessible Expressive Arts Yoga (AEAYoga)

    Certified in multiple methods of yoga, Jessica took her Accessible Yoga Teacher and expressive arts therapy training, combining it with transpersonal creative expression for a completely unique experience.
